MUSHROOM
CULTIVATION PRACTICAL
we the members of kuliah
five with doctor Jamal were visited the mushroom unit at Agriculture University
Park,as it was a part of our practical class.At 2.30 pm ,we were given a
briefing from……………………about the importance of mushrooms.
1.Mushroom
is a source of food for mankind because it have a lot of nutririon consist of
fibre and protein
2.Mushrooms
also valuable in medicinal,and can increase the income for people that work in
mushroom agriculture or the seller.
3.Besides,
mushrooms is not a vegetable but it was classified as fruit.
4.It
also rich in potassium that is good for formation of bonds and teeth,calcium
which is responsible for the blood flow in body,selenium is goodfor circulation
of blood to the heart.
5.Mushroom
also is an anti oxidant for our body,it help in cure and prevent cancer and maintain youthful.
After the briefing session,we were separated into three
groups to learn by doing all the steps that involved in making mushrooms.The
first group prepared the mushroom
medium,the second group responsible in pouring the medium into the beg using
specialised machine that ease the work.The last group put the caps on the
medium begs.
After that all the beg that filled by medium must be
heated in warm temperature to make sure that all microorganism or impurity in
the medium were removed and killed so that it could not effect the growing of
mushrooms in the medium.They were heated about 24 hour.
We didn’t have
the opportunity to follow all the steps for making mushrooms cultivation because
it takes lot of time.Then we were taken into the room that is filled with
mushroom that are stacked properly.It were a good experience for use to learn
about mushrooms cultivation.
